Mary is the retired Director of Development for the Marine Sciences Institute (MSI) at the University of Texas.  During her ten years in this position, Mary raised funds to support MSI and facilitated the advancement of several projects.  Her list of accomplishments includes: attracting donors to establish five endowed excellence or fellowship funds, four library endowments and a public lecture series endowment, arranging three endowed chairs at MSI and raising substantial amounts of money for special projects including the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK), the Wetlands Education Center and the CCA Texas Laboratory for Marine Laviculture.
