Vi received her B.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics from The University of Texas, having taken calculus and actuarial classes under Dr. Jim Daniel.  After graduating, Vi was employed by the Houston office of Willis Towers Watson, one of the largest international actuarial consulting companies in the world where she was a Principal in the company and her primary practice area was employee health and welfare benefits. After 19 years with Willis Towers Watson,  Vi joined Mercer as a Partner in the Health and Benefits practice.  She left Mercer in 2015 to join Ernst & Young  (EY) to lead their National Health & Welfare consulting practice.  She recently retired from EY to spend more time with family and friends.

Vi and her husband Danny also invest in real estate since 2010.  They invest in both Multifamily and single family properties.  They acquire and hold income producing multifamily properties since 2019 and have produced significant passive income returns for their investors.  They currently have $200M+ in multifamily assets under active management.  They currently own SRJ Properties LLC and their goal is to acquire and hold income producing real estate assets in strong US markets with long term capital appreciation through value-add improvements.

Vi has served as a member of the University of Texas Actuarial Studies Advisory Council which provides advice on the Actuarial program and all its activities.

In her free time, Vi enjoys travelling with her husband and three children, Samantha, Ryan, and Jessica.
