Carla Ann Blumberg received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Drama in 1972 from Texas Lutheran College and her Bachelor of Science in biology in 1983 from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed additional studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in microbiology and biochemistry and at San Francisco State University in theater arts.

Currently, Carla co-owns a restaurant in Duluth called At Sara’s Table Chester Creek Cafe (www.astccc.net). Carla has built a multi use development in Duluth which includes a vegetable garden that services the café.
