Doug French spent over 35 years as an insurance and actuarial consultant retiring in July of 2020.

Today Doug serves as the Chief Actuary of Genomic Life, a genomics as a practice company. He also sits on the board of Fortitude Re, Bermuda's largest multi-line reinsurer, is a Partner of Insurex a network of strategic thought leaders who serve as advisors to insurance and other financial services CEOs and Boards and is a founding investor in Origin8cares a direct-to-consumer digital platform company.

Doug's philanthropic activities include: The Actuarial Foundation, The International Association of Black Actuaries and The College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Doug is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and in 2018 received the Society of Actuaries Distinguished Service Award for significant contributions to the actuarial profession.
