Mr. Frye serves as Chairman of Quantum Interface, an Austin, Texas based proprietary IP predicitve and dynamic user interface software company. He retired in 2015 as the Vice Chairman of Tokyo Electron America.  Prior roles during his 17 years at Tokyo Electron America included President and Senior VP.

He has been associated with the semiconductor industry supply chain for over 40 years. Before joining Tokyo Electron he held VP positions with KLA Corp, Eaton Corp, and PMT as Senior VP assisting with their IPO and their later merger as a Senior VP in both organizations. Prior to entering the semiconductor industry in 1977 Mr. Frye had business experience in marketing and manufacturing management.

Mr. Frye earned a B.S. degree from the University of New Hampshire. 

He served 6 years on the 11th District Dallas Federal Reserve’s Business & Community Advisory Council, and currently serves on the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Natural Science Advisory Foundation, and UT Austin’s McDonald Observatory, Board of Visitors.

He lives in Austin with his wife Marcia. They have two daughters, and two grandchildren.
