Jamesha "Jai" Chapple graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science and a minor in African & African Diaspora Studies. In Spring 2022, Jai obtained her Masters's degree in Management in Information Systems at Lamar University. In addition to her post-graduate studies, Jai has been working as an analyst for roughly six years.

Professionally, she helps companies make data-driven decisions by analyzing data, building data visualizations, and creating reports about findings. Her experience ranges across both the health and technology industry but she spent most of her career working in the tech space as a Quality Analyst.

In addition to her work as an analyst, she was instrumental in advocating for underrepresented groups and sparking conversations around intersectionality as the Community Engagement Lead for Indeed’s Black Inclusion Group. This advocacy afforded her the opportunity to host and speak on panels as well as travel to various events to assist with Indeed’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Outside of the professional setting, Jai is the co-creator and chair for UT's Black Homecoming annual networking event. During past events, she has leveraged her relationships with tech companies in Austin to provide scholarships for Black students in need at UT. She is also a Board Member and Vice Chair of SiStem Way, a STEM-based non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas. SiStem Way provides students with an exciting experience that encourages them to pursue careers in STEM; and to provide them with mentors that deliver academic support and career support.

In her spare time, Jai assists others transitioning into tech and provides organizations with reports on specific data findings and their impact on organizational growth and success.
