Michael W. Dawkins retired from IBM in 2007 after 39 years of service. From 1995 to 2007, he held multiple executive positions in IBM Global Services including general manager, Application Management Services; general manager, Technology and Global Competencies; general manager, Aerospace, Utility and Energy Services. Prior to joining IBM Global Services, he was a key member of IBM Federal Systems Division where he served as the general manager of the Manassas, VA and Houston, TX sites. Prior to those assignments, he held various management postions developing NASA Space Shuttle Onboard and Mission Control Center software. He joined IBM in 1968 as a software developer for the Apollo and Skylab programs.

Dawkins lives in Austin with his wife, Nancy. He has service and philanthropic interests in education, the underprivileged, and the mentally handicapped.

Dawkins holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
