Nick Barnard is currently a Managing Director and Head of GLG’s business unit serving the world’s leading strategy consultancies and other professional services firms.  Nick has worked as a manager and executive at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) since 2004, helping the company through a period of significant expansion as the world's leading professional learning platform.

 Prior to his current role, Nick served as General Manager of GLG’s European operations from 2009 to 2012.  During that time, the company underwent significant growth in Europe, establishing offices in Dublin, Paris, and Germany, as leading asset management firms and consultancies leveraged GLG to better understand the ramifications of the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis.  Nick began his GLG career in 2004 helping to manage the firm’s Energy & Industrials Research practice in NY and founded GLG’s Austin, Texas office in 2005.  GLG Austin is now the company's largest office.

Nick holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, served as a Rosenthal Fellow at the U.S. State Department, and earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Resource and Managerial Economics from Cornell.
