Sidney is President of J*ONE*S Farm & Ranch, Inc. and a managing partner in J1S Management, LLC, an oil and gas company. She received a B.S. in Secondary Education from The University of Texas at Austin.

Active as a community volunteer, she has served as President for the following organizations:  Austin Natural Science Association and its Guild, Austin Lawyers’ Auxiliary, The Austin Assembly, March of Dimes Guild, Women’s Association of the First Presbyterian Church, Junior Austin Woman’s Club, and The Dance Club of Austin.  In addition, she has held Board positions for the Women’s Symphony League of Austin, Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras, Helping Hand Society, and The Austin Woman’s Club. She was appointed to the National Council of Volunteers for the March of Dimes and chaired its 50th Anniversary event for the State of Texas. In keeping with her interest in ranching, she was elected Chairman of the Texas Branch of the National Deer Farmers Association and later chaired the National Convention.

Sidney and her husband, John, have two married children and three grandchildren.  They enjoy their ranch outside Austin in Driftwood where they raise bison, fallow deer, and other exotics.
