Stoney Barton, a 1997 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, founded FSTI, Inc. in 1998 out of the Barton’s garage.  FSTI became the first domestic manufacturer for a few key chemicals used for the photolithography process for semiconductor manufacturing.  Since 1998, under Mr. Barton’s leadership, FSTI has vastly expanded its operations and geographical reach and has grown into a manufacturer and distributor of Chlor-Alkali chemicals.   FSTI has become one of the first companies to implement Inherently Safe Technology in chemical manufacturing for the Chlor-Alkali industry. FSTI’s chemical plants manufacture sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite in Greenville, TX and Denver, CO.  FSTI has locations throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado and West Virginia. More recently, Mr. Barton has pioneered revolutionary equipment for the oil and gas industry as it relates to chemical delivery and blending at the well site. FSTI is a member company to the University of Texas Hydraulic Fracturing and Sand Control JIP.

Mr. Barton is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Society of Petroleum Engineers and was a finalist in Austin’s 40 under 40. Mr. Barton is married to his wife Staci, who is also a graduate of the University of Texas and together they have 2 children.  Stoney enjoys volunteering with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, wake surfing on Lake Austin, deep sea fishing and watching Longhorn football with his family in his spare time.
