Natural History Museum Science

I co-taught this class with Drs. Chris Bell (Geosciences) and Travis LaDuc (Biodiversity Collections) for many years. It was basically an introduction to Natural History Collections and their values and role in society, with discussions and tours of all major UT collections with natural history specimens. It was taught annually from 1998 - 2009 in 2 forms (freshman/sophomore and junior/senior and graduate students). We hope to resurrect something similar in the not too distant future.

Natural History Museum Science (Junior, Senior and graduate level) - Fall 1998 to 2004 (annually); every other year 2005-2009 (http://www.bio.utexas.edu/courses/bio471g/)

The Science of Wonder: Natural History Museums (College of Natural Sciences, freshman seminar version of BIO471G) – every other year Fall 2004-2008
