I strongly support building a welcoming and diverse community within my lab, in the field of neuroscience, and in our society at large. I am happy to recruit candidates of any nationality, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and religion.
The Howard lab is actively seeking to recruit qualified candidates in the following categories:
Postdoctoral Fellows - The lab is seeking highly qualified and experienced candidates for postdoctoral level positions studying cell and circuit physiology in mouse models of epilepsy. Candidates are required to have completed, or expect to complete within the academic year, a PhD in Neuroscience, Physiology, or a closely related field. Experience with electrophysiological methods is highly preferred, but not required. Candidates with extensive experience with anatomical and molecular techniques, and an interest in learning electrophysiology are also encouraged to apply.
Graduate Students - The lab will accept rotating graduate students starting in the Fall of 2017.
Undergraduate Researchers - The lab does not currently have positions for undergraduates. However, as we expand our work more undergraduate positions will become available. Check back Spring of 2018 for updates. Work study positions are not available at this time.
