Adrienne Loftus is a third-year Environmental Science major from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently an FRI peer mentor. She has worked with switchgrass both in Austin, TX and Columbia, MO on projects such as root architecture, osmotic adjustment, and root anatomy. As part of the EVS Capstone, she is studying the root anatomy of upland and lowland ecotypes across multiple switchgrass sites.
