My research interests focus on drought signaling and responses in plants. During my Ph.D. and postdoctoral research, I worked on Arabidopsis Type 2C protein phosphatases to identify their dephosphorylation targets potentially involved in low water potential stress signaling.
I joined Dr. Juenger research team to study the drought resistance mechanisms in switchgrass. Currently, I am investigating the transcriptomic responses in natural populations of Panicum halli to different environmental conditions. I am also involved in finding effectors for drought resistance traits such as water use efficiency and osmotic potential in Arabidopsis.
