I work in both the molecular laboratory and the field. I assist post-docs, graduate students, and visiting collaborating scientists in completing their research objectives. In the lab, you can find me processing samples and organizing materials for field experiments. If I'm not in the lab, I am probably maintaining and propagating plants at the Brackenridge Field Labs greenhouse or collecting samples at a field site. Coming from a background of microbiology, I have performed experiments looking at microbial root ecology and molecular lab work in general. I am most interested in how plants and microbes interact and how it affects plants physiology; I am currently applying for graduate school to pursue studying this.
