Graduate Student

Krushnamegh is a graduate student with primary interests in evolution and ecology. He has studied patterns of butterfly diversity, mating systems of frogs, cheating in plant-insect symbiosis, effects of invasive species on community structure and diversity, and ecological influences on evolution of morphological traits in butterflies. Evolution and patterns of diversity are his long-standing passions. For his PhD he is studying evolution of sexual dimorphism, mimicry and speciation in Heraclides group of Papilio butterflies, and evolutionary genetics of mimicry in the Mexican Tiger Swallowtail (P. alexiares). Krushnamegh is co-sponsored by Larry Gilbert.
