Li is interested in modeling genetic by environment interactions in plants. After completing a Ph.D in Crop Modelling at the University of Florida where her main studies were building eco-physiological crop models for common bean by incorporating genetic information with environmental covariates. She joined Juenger’s lab in March 2016, working on modeling switchgrass under different environments and identifying the genetic by environment interactions.
