Undergraduate Student

Scott has been working on ecological and evolutionary studies of bluebonnets (Lupinus texensis) and their nitrogen fixing bacteria (Bradyrhizobium). In particular, he is interested in how the costs/benefits of the plant-bacteria interaction are contingent on the resource status of the soil or of individual lupine plants. He is planning on applying to graduate programs in Ecology & Evolution in the near future. Scott’s undergraduate research has been supported by an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the college of Natural Sciences.
