I am a PhD student studying the genetic basis for adaptation in Panicum Hallii and Panicum Virgatum. Both of these panicum varieties grow across many ecological regions and climates. Through studying how plants adapt to harsh climates, my ultimate goal is to understand the means through which plants can adapt to climate change. I have a specific interest in hormone signaling and the role hormones play in development and adaptation.
