Walter is a senior and is moving on to medical school next fall in Houston. Walter has worked on microsatellite development and studies of population structure in hybrid zones of Ipomopsis aggregata. His research has centered on an evaluation of gene flow via seed dispersal using chloroplast markers. Walter’s undergraduate research has been supported by an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the college of Natural Sciences.
