Dr. Li is giving several invited lectures and presentations this summer. These include a lecture at the international nanophotonics summer school at AMOLF and a presentation at the conference of Fundamental Optical Processes in Semiconductors (FOPS 2019). The slides can be found at https://amolf.nl/nanophotonics-school-lectures. She also gave a talk to a group of high school students enrolled in the "Alice in Wonderland" program at UT. The program is designed to encourage high school students to pursue a degree in STEM fields (https://sites.cns.utexas.edu/aliceinwonderland/home).
We welcomed a Research Experience for Teacher participant Sophia Chin and a Research Experience for Undergraduates participant Michael Delarosa to our lab this summer. These activities are supported and coordinated by the Texas MRSEC funded by NSF. Check out https://mrsec.utexas.edu/ for more information about this exciting research center.
Congratulations to Dr. Kha Tran for receiving his PhD degree. After a successful graduate career, Dr. Tran is moving to Naval Research Laboratory supported by a prestigious NRC postdoc fellowship.
