Graduate student Jean Choi presented her study entitled "Neighborhood Cohesion across the Life Course and Effects on Cognitive Aging" at the Population Association of America's annual meeting in New Orleans, LA.

4/5/23 Jessica Perez-Saldana and Samantha Tapia Presented at the Longhorn Research Poster Session

Jessica and Samantha presented their systematic review entitled "Engaging the Latinx Population in Cognitive Research" at UT Austin's Longhorn Research Poster Session!

4/1/23 CHART was awarded an Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Award (R21) from the National Institute on Aging

This grant is focused on uncovering the daily linkages between experiences with ethnic discrimination and cognitive function and variabilty in Mexican-origin adults. This project is in collaboration with Drs. Heather Cuevas (UT Austin Nursing) and Nelson Roque (UCF).  You can read more about the project here.  

11/2/22 Jean Choi presents research at GSA

Graduate student Jean Choi presented her research at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) 2022 Annual Scientific Meeting. Her work is entitled, "The Effects of Neighborhood Deprivation and Perceived Neighborhood Problems on Depressive Symptoms." You can check out the research poster here!

1/28/22 Dr. Muñoz selected as APS Rising Star 

Dr. Muñoz has been selected as a Rising Star of the Association for Psychological Science. The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding APS members in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD. This designation recognizes whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.
