Innate Immunity and Alcohol

Previously our lab has found that the innate immune pathway regulates alcohol resistance in Drosophila (Troutwine, 2016). We are currently interested in studying the role of specific parts of the innate immune pathway in flies in ethanol response, particularly resistance to ethanol induced sedation and tolerance developed as a result of prior exposure to ethanol.
