Survey Says...

Did you know that UT faculty, staff and students have access to a world-class and easy-to-use online survey tool?

The web-based survey tool Qualtrics is available to all current university faculty, staff and students, and is approved for sensitive data (including FERPA, HIPAA and IRB). This powerful survey tool can support your research, teaching, administrative, and schoolwork needs.

You can use Qualtrics to develop and deploy surveys, store data and analyze results.

While you can use the survey tool to conduct traditional surveys, it can also be used for course evaluations, tests and quizzes,  and getting quick student feedback, among other things.

As stated on the ITS Qualtrics page: Qualtrics is the preferred tool for campus surveys because it meets stringent information security requirements not found in most free online survey tools.  Qualtrics also has important quality control features, such as preventing multiple submissions from a single participant.  However, Qualtrics users should be aware that any surveys published, and subsequent responses, may be subject to the Open Records Act.
