How does it affect my path towards my degree?
- We ensure that your degree requirements are met and that your timeline towards graduation is not delayed
- You also take an elective class specifically designed for the AIF
How much will it cost?
- Existing exchange agreements with the partner universities ensure that you pay regular fees to UT
- The major added cost is travel: the AIF is funded by the NSF, which provides scholarships ($2,000-$4,000 per student)
What is the balance of teaching and research?
- You take classes that most closely match the degree-required classes at UT
- The UT International Office helps with these arrangements
- You also take research-for-credit in the lab of one of our partnering PIs, much like an advanced FRI program
