Dr. Kimberly Boddy is a professor of physics in the Weinberg Theory Group at UT Austin. She is a theoretical physicist, working on a variety of topics in cosmology, astrophysics, and particle physics. Her interests include dark matter, direct and indirect detection, the cosmic microwave background, large-scale and small-scale structure formation, halo evolution, cosmic dawn and reionization, and gravitational waves.
She received her S.B. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hawaii, Manoa and at Johns Hopkins University, where she was awarded a Provost's Postdoctoral Fellowship. She became a faculty member at UT Austin in 2020.
