Dr. Justin Pare was a Ph.D researcher in the Sullivan lab and is now furthering his postdoctoral training in Dr. Tom Hobman’s lab in University of Alberta.
Demetra was an undergraduate research assistant in the lab for 2 years. Now a UT grad, she conducts research and is studying to be a neurosurgeon at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
Dr. Oliver Lin was the third Sullivan lab member to receive his PhD and has begun his post doc studying viral miRNAs with Dr. Finn Grey at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland
Dr. Gil Ju Seo was the second Sullivan Lab member to receive his Ph.D and now has gone on to be a postdoctoral scholar in Jae Jung’s lab at The University of Southern California.
Dr. Lydia McClure was a graduate student and the first to receive her Ph.D in the Sullivan Lab. She is now admitted to the Texas Venture Lab at the McCombs School of Business here at the University of Texas at Austin where her position is an Accenture Venture Partner Fellow.
Cecelia Mendiola was a two time visiting summer undergraduate researcher. She is currently finishing her B.A. at New York University and will then go onto medical school.
Noel Mireles was a summer high school intern who is finishing his high school diploma at William B. Travis High School.
Naveen was an undergraduate researcher throughout his undergraduate career and is now working with a non-profit organization to raise funds and awareness for AIDS research.
Teva was a visiting scholar and returned home to Thailand to complete his Ph.D at Mahidol University in Bangkok studying shrimp viruses.
Houdah was an undergraduate researcher who graduated in 2012 and is currently rotating labs here at the University of Texas’ Cell and Molecular Biology graduate program.
Rathi was an undergraduate researcher who recently went into the field of bioinformatics.
Meghan Cain was a summer undergraduate researcher who returned to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Biology
Angel Martinez was a summer high school intern who recently started his undergraduate degree in Computer Science here at The University of Texas at Austin.
Tom Penny was an undergraduate researcher and later lab manager. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Southern California in their Molecular and Computational Biology program.
Coreen Huo was a work study who went on to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth.
Grace Kago graduated from McDaniel College (BA in Biology) in 2010 and has been working in the Robertus Lab here at UT as a research assistant trying to design drug inhibitors for various viruses, toxins, fungi, etc. She hopes to continue onto graduate or medical school in the near future.
Jennifer Harvey graduated from UT in 2010 and began work at a stem cell bank at Bioeden, Inc. for two years. She recently started her new job at Life Technologies here in Austin.
Christine Kivlin worked in the lab during and through her undergraduate career graduating in 2008. She has recently just passed her candidacy exam for graduate school of Biomedical Science at the UT Health Science Center in Houston.
Jorge Wong was a high school summer student intern from Project Seed, and is now an undergraduate here at the University of Texas at Austin.
Latham Fink was a lab manager and is now pursuing his MD/PhD at University of Texas at Galveston in neurobiology.
Lauro Escobedo was an undergraduate research assistant and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010. He currently is working as a medical lab scientist at Texas Oncology while attending graduate school at UTHSC School of Public Health
Zhanna Shubin was an undergraduate researcher in the lab who is now working on getting her PhD at the University of Maryland at Baltimore in their Molecular Microbiology and Immunology department working on gamma/delta T cells in the context of HIV infections.
Alysia East was an undergraduate researcher who went on to be a research technician at Dr. Sarah Sawyer’s lab here on campus. She is now an 8th grade math teacher in Round Rock, Texas.
Anna was a research technician who went on to get her MD at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
