2023 Texas Undergraduate Groups and Dynamics Conference

University of Texas at Austin 

March 31 - April 1, 2023

 

This 2-day conference will run from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon and is designed to give undergraduates in Texas who are working in the areas of group theory and dynamical systems (viewed broadly) the opportunity to share their results and experiences, hear from faculty researchers, and build a community of students and faculty working in these fields.

Student travel funded by the conference: This includes travel to Austin, hotel for Friday night, and food on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon.

Faculty partially funded by the conference: This includes travel to Austin (if traveling with students), food on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon, with the possibility of partial hotel funding depending on the number of conference attendees (priority given to student participants).

A block of hotel rooms for the conference are available at a cost of $140 per night for faculty and graduate students.  To reserve a room, call 512.454.1144 for the room block and mention Texas UGD.  Parking, breakfast and WiFi are included at the hotel.

Parking

We recommended parking in the on-campus parking garages. Locations and costs for these garages can be found on this map. Speedway (SWG) and 27th Street (TSG) are the closest garages to the Math building (PMA). when you pull into these garages you will be given a paper ticket. Keep this ticket, the registration table will have pre-paid cards available to each confrence participant at no cost to you. These pre-paid cards will be available Friday night and Saturday until they run out, so please exchange your paper ticket right when you arrive for the day!
