2024 Texas Undergraduate Groups and Dynamics Conference

University of Texas at Austin 

April 19-20, 2024

 

This 2-day conference will run from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon and is designed to give undergraduates in Texas who are working in the areas of group theory and dynamical systems (viewed broadly) the opportunity to share their results and experiences, hear from faculty researchers, and build a community of students and faculty working in these fields.

Student travel funded by the conference: This includes travel to Austin, hotel for Friday night, and food on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon.

Faculty partially funded by the conference: This includes travel to Austin (if traveling with students), food on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon, with the possibility of partial hotel funding depending on the number of conference attendees (priority given to student participants).

Conference Hotel

Students will be staying in one of the two hotels listed below which share a parking lot.  Student hotel accomidations will be made by the conference and information will be sent out from the organizers.

Faculty attending the conference will need to make their own resrevations for accomidations at these or another hotel in the area.

Parking

We recommended parking in the on-campus parking garages. Locations and costs for these garages can be found on this map. Speedway (SWG) and 27th Street (TSG) are the closest garages to the Math building (PMA).

The conference may be able to reimburse the cost of parking on the UT campus, please reach out to the organizers if you are in need of this.
