Georges Jaar - WCAPP's newest member, received his Ph.D. December 2020; His dissertation, "Experimental Studies and Applications of a Microsecond X-Pinch Plasma." His research included investigations of the microsecond x-pinch plasma jets using laser-schlieren photography and interferometry, analysis of x-ray yield and power for load optimization, and x-ray spectroscopy for plasma parameter measurements.

Georges will be based Sandia National Laboratories.  His responsibilities will include the photoionized neon gas cell experiment in LOS330 and relevant modeling, data analysis and interpretation, and he will also dedicate some time to the white dwarf gas cell experiment.
