Not sure if you were ever into them,

Sonnets I mean, or any poetry,

But what do I know? ‘Cause you might have been!

You were broader than anyone could see.

Tackling edge turbulence in tokamaks,

Measuring plasmas in high magnetic

Field conditions were never a lack!

Always providing a thoughtful critique

For not only my spectroscopic line-

Profile measurements but for other

Experiments whose goals also align.

You have always been the wise big brother.

Happy you’ll finally see Billie,

Reunited with she who set you free.
