Madeline Sponholtz received her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champain in the spring of 2018, and joined the University of Texas at Austin Institute for Cellular and Molecular Biology (ICMB) in the summer of 2018. She rotated in the Senning Lab in the beginning of 2019, and joined the lab officially in the spring. She is working on characterizing membrane protein kinetics by 'unroofing' cells, and is also working on identifying protein and lipid species that interact with TRPV1.
