We've been keeping tabs on the fishes of this creek that flows through UT's main campus for many years, and recently published a paper on a non-native fish that has persisted there for far longer than we would have guessed. As we worked on that project, we were frustrated by the scattered and sparse data about Waller Creek and decided to try to do something to make the wealth of information that we know is "out there", in some form, freely and permanently available to all who might use it to help make this "natural" corridor of urban biodiversity a more sustainable asset to UT and the city.

Our Waller Creek Working Group project, supported by the UT Green Fees Project, began in September 2015.
