At the Harshey Lab, my research is centered on deciphering the role of iron in Escherichia coli (E. coli) swarming. In addition to this, I am also exploring the role of molecules released by dead cells in antibiotic tolerance.
Prior to joining the Harshey Lab, I worked as a Research Associate at the Regional Center for Biotechnology (RCB) in Faridabad, India. My research focused on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a highly adaptable and opportunistic pathogen. Specifically, I investigated the role of sigma factors in flagellar biosynthesis and biofilm formation.
I completed my PhD at the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh, India. My doctoral research focused on Escherichia coli, particularly the effects of metal and spermidine intoxication.
