The Institute for Neuroscience (INS) is the intellectual and administrative center for neuroscience research at the University of Texas at Austin. The INS is home to more than 80 diverse neuroscience related faculty within 13 departments and 6 colleges within UT. In addition many INS faculty belong to centers or institutes with a specific research focus. As a group, the INS faculty represent all major disciplines and techniques in neuroscience including molecular, physiology, cellular, systems and computational research, cognition, behavior, and the neurobiology of disease. The multidisciplinary environment fostered by the INS creates a vibrant, collaborative and exciting environment that poises the INS on the cutting edge of neuroscience training and research.
