On Campus Accommodation 

Reservations for on-campus accommodation are NO LONGER AVAILABLE.  

The check-in time should be July 22nd from 9:00am-3:00pm and check-out is scheduled from 8:00am-11:00am on July 27th. Early check-in and late check-out can be accomodated if you inform your needs ahead of time by sending an email to: 

dhfs-conferences@austin.utexas.edu. 

On-campus lodging for EuroWD will be at San Jacinto Hall and the Almetris Duren Residence Hall.

San Jacinto Hall will be the primary on-campus housing option for the conference.  We will have rooms reserved until June 2nd, after which space in San Jacinto Hall is not guaranteed.  If you try and reserve a room after June 15th and San Jacinto Hall is full, you will be placed in the Almetris Duren Residence Hall, which is comparable in both its accommodations and the walking distance to the conference venue.  San Jacinto Hall is about a 0.6 mi, or 1 km, walk to the conference venue, while Duren Hall is about a 0.5 mi, or 0.8 km, walk.  Both halls have dormitory style accommodations. You can choose to stay in single or double occupancy rooms, all of which come with private bathrooms.  You can look at the details for these rooms and facilities on the San Jacinto Hall webpage.  Below are listed the prices for each of these options:

$48 per night per person (single occupancy)
$24 per night per person (double occupancy)

The bathrooms do not come stocked with any toiletries or towels, so please make sure to bring your own, or you can buy these items from any local convenience store when you arrive in Austin.

Those who wish to stay in double occupancy rooms and have a room mate in mind, you can indicate your preferred room mate on the room registration form.  If you sign up for a double occupency room but do not list a room mate, UT Housing with pair you up randomly with someone of the same gender.  If you'd like to find a room mate, you can use the EuroWD Slack Channel to post messages for room mates.  People of opposite gender are allowed to room together if age 18 or older.

Off-Campus Accommodation 

There are many off-campus accommodations located a short walk or bus ride away from the conference venue in and around downtown Austin.  The closest hotel is about 0.5 miles from the conference venue, while most are around 1 to 2 miles away.  The following hotel chains have locations in Austin within walking distance or have nearby stops for bus lines that will bring you within quick walking distance of the conference venue:

These options may offer a bit more privacy and comfort compared to the on-campus option, but have base rates that are much higher.  Hotels further away from downtown will be cheaper, but it's recommended you either have a rental car or find a hotel close to a bus line if planning to stay further away from campus.
