September 11, 2023

Dr. Angela Ozburn's Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA at OHSU) grant application was funded by NIGMS. Drs. Angela Ozburn, Letisha Wyatt, and Peter Barr-Gillespie at OHSU partnered with Drs. Andy Saultz and Talina Corvus at Pacific University to create this structured post-doctoral fellowship training plan. The award provides stipend and career development funds for 3 post-docs per year (for 3 years each), and begins 9/1/23 and ends 8/31/28. They will be recruiting our first cohort this Fall 2023.

IRACDA at OHSU is a program that aims to train and support a diverse generation of future faculty, in partnership with Pacific University. IRACDA scholars will receive mentorship in conducting exceptional scientific research at OHSU, training and practice in evidence-based teaching methods at Pacific University, blended together by personalized career development and guidance from dedicated program staff at both institutions. As they grow through the program, IRACDA scholars will not only impact the future of science and education, but also will transform OHSU existing programs and institutions.
