Brian Stokes
Graduate Student
I am originally from Jacksonville, FL and got my B.S. at the University of Florida. I fell in love with birds as a kid in my backyard. Through my undergraduate education and a few years of field work I decided to focus my research on using birds as study systems to answer ecological questions. I am broadly interested in landscape ecology, movement and migration patterns, and climate change impacts. While at the University of Texas I will be studying Green Jays in Southern Texas. I’m interested in this population’s genetic lineage, community structure, and causes of range expansion.
