VEE Requirements

Actuaries need to do more than just pass exams to earn their certification with either the SOA or CAS. The easiest way for aspiring actuaries to earn the Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) credits is to complete a series of courses while still in college. To be eligible for credit, students must earn a letter grade of B- or higher in the approved courses. Most students are able to complete all courses for the VEE credits prior to graduation.

VEE Requirements - CAS

The Casualty Actuarial society requires that ACAS candidates earn two VEE credits:

  • Economics (ECO 304K and ECO 304L)
  • Accounting and Finance (ACC 310F and FIN 357)
